Resumen

Los tumores filodes son lesiones de crecimiento muy rápido, apreciables a la inspección y que su evolución puede ser hacia las formas malignas y metastásicas, por lo que puede constituir un problema de salud. Se presenta el caso de una paciente femenina de 85 años de edad, que acude a la consulta de cirugía del hospital Guillermo Domínguez López por el aumento progresivo de una lesión en la mama derecha, con más de 40 años de evolución. Al examen físico se constató una lesión de consistencia firme, no dolorosa, poli lobulada. Se efectuó mastectomía radical con vaciamiento ganglionar de los niveles 1, 2, y 3. El postoperatorio transcurrió sin complicaciones. El diagnóstico anatomopatológico identificó un tumor filodes. Después de siete meses de seguimiento no existen evidencias clínicas de recidiva tumoral.
