Skin cancer causes different types of sequels and its aesthetic camouflage is always a challenge. In the facial region nasal defects are often the result of removal of skin lesions such as basal-cell carcinoma. The use of local flaps is one of the most used therapeutic options for the reconstruction of these defects. The nasal glabellar flap technique is described, with a combination of rotation and frontal flaps, for the reconstruction of a defect cause by a basal-cell carcinoma in the lateral region of the nasal pyramid, close to the inner canthus of the left eye. This is a 74-year-old male patient with a history of basaloid lesions due to prolonged sun exposure. He presented a lesion with exophytic edges in the form of ulcus rodens of 1 cm in diameter, located on the left lateral wall of the nasal region near the medial canthus of the left eye. The lesion was excised, which turned out to be a completely resected basal cell carcinoma. The defect was reconstructed using a semicircular rotation nasal glabellar flap. There were no postoperative complications and the patient’s clinical progress was satisfactory.Downloads
