Breast tissue located outside its usual implantation is infrequent, but if it exists, it can suffer from all the pathology processes of normally inserted breasts, including malignant ones. Supernumerary breasts become evident during pregnancy and the puerperium, due to hormonal causes. We present the case of an 18-year-old adolescent, treated at the National Hospital of San Miguel de Uspantan del Quiche - Guatemala, with a previous obstetric history of childbirth. She presented due to an increase in size in both axillary regions, accompanied by discomfort and pain, which appeared during pregnancy, she reports having had milk secretion. Physical examination revealed a symmetrical chest and the presence of both breasts with normal development, without palpable lesions. At the level of the armpits, there was a symmetrical increase in volume, of a soft consistency, with well-defined areola and nipple in contours, 2.5 cm in diameter, without secretion through the nipple. She underwent surgery with excision of the accessory breast tissue was performed at the level of both armpits. She progressed satisfactorily, being discharged 48 hours after surgery. The anatomo-pathological findings confirmed the diagnosis of bilateral supernumerary breast.Downloads
