Spontaneous intra-parenchymatous hemorrhage is the second commonest cause of cerebrovascular accident (CVA) after ischemic stroke. Intracranial hemorrhage that occurs during pregnancy or puerperium is a little-frequent disease. The estimated incidence is from 0,002 to 0,05 % of all mothers. Intracranial hemorrhage represents 4-12 % of all maternal deaths. This study presents the case of a 29-year-old puerpera that at the 5th day of puerperium presented with a neurological deterioration caused by a spontaneous intra-parenchymatous hemorrhage. The patient underwent surgery which included an osteoplastic craniotomy and the evacuation of the hematoma. The patient progressed favorably and is currently doing her usual activities.
