Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) has a rate of 1for 1000 or 10000 pregnancies; it is characterized by pruritus that develops in the second half of pregnancy without being associated to other dermatological or systemic diseases, finding a family history in the 50 % of de patients and also to multiple pregnancies. Diagnosis is confirmed by increase in maternal bilirubin, liver enzymes and serum bile acids. ICP is associated to meconium amniotic fluid, preterm labor and fetal death. This is a case of a 36 year-old patient suffering from intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy in its third trimester, who showed generalized pruritus. Pregnancy interruption was at 36 gestation weeks without perinatal morbidity.Downloads
