Giant-cell tumor of the bone is one of the less frequent, more controversial and less predictable tumors in its clinical manifestation. This study presents the case of a 27-year-old male patient with a two-year history of pain and volume growth in the left knee who arrived at the Muelle de los Bueyes Hospital of the South Atlantic Autonomous Region of Nicaragua. The emergency specialist ordered a radiological study of the region with volume growth. The patient was admitted with a diagnostic impression of bone tumor. The histological diagnosis of giant-cell tumor of the bone was obtained from biopsy. A surgical intervention was decided by the orthopedist in order to perform a block removal of the tumor. The patient came back to his work and personal life. From the radiological viewpoint the case served to motivate the presentation of the case.
